Max and Norbert Neiger produced some of the finest examples of Czech glass jewellery in the early twentieth century, including stunning Egyptian Revival beads and cabochons. Online marketplaces have popularised Neiger jewellery worldwide yet records of its production and sources of Egyptological inspiration were destroyed by the Nazis. Now, a major Australian collection can begin to answer questions about Neiger Egyptian Revival jewellery – and reveal the influence of Tutankhamun’s tomb upon the designs and careers of the Neiger brothers.

About the presenter: Dr Jasmine Day, anthropologist and Egyptologist, is an expert on mummymania, mummy ethics and Egyptian Revival jewellery, and the author of The Mummy’s Curse: Mummymania in the English-speaking World. She appeared in TV’s Egypt’s Unexplained Files. Dr Day is President of The Ancient Egypt Society of Western Australia Inc
