Book in for our facilitated school program Gallery Greats where students explore the highlights of Queensland Museum Cobb+Co.

Program overview

Where and when did the last Cobb & Co coach run in Australia? What is a Diprotodon? How did Ninjemys oweni get its name? Find the answer to all of these questions and more as you join our Gallery Greats facilitated school program. Students will be introduced to the highlights of Queensland Museum Cobb+Co exhibitions, both permanent and temporary, and ake part in the Gallery Greats Quiz.

Learning outcomes

  • explore Australia’s finest collection of horse drawn vehicles and listen to the stories of twelve unique characters who lived and worked during this time using the character pods in the National Carriage Collection
  • observe the objects and stories of the Aboriginal Peoples from the Toowoomba region and play Burguu Matya, an Aboriginal version of Tic Tac Toe, in The Binangar Centre
  • visit the Blacksmith Shop and see what heritage trades are on show in the National Carriage Factory
  • get up close and personal with our specimens and objects in the Inquiry Centre.
