Immerse yourself in Queensland’s rich history during our centenary celebrations of Cobb & Co.’s final journey.

This significant event commemorates the last run of a Cobb & Co. Coach, a historical moment on 14 August, 1924, when the era of horse-drawn coaches gave way to modern technologies like motor vehicles, air mail services, and railways.

Join us from 14 – 17 August, for a four-day celebration where Cobb & Co. history comes alive. From live demonstrations to expert talks, there is something for all ages to enjoy and celebrate.

Things to see and do:

  • Explore the National Carriage Collection, featuring more than 50 horse-drawn vehicles from Queensland’s transport history
  • Experience live heritage trade demonstrations from blacksmithing to wheelwrighting and more
  • Tune in for curator talks and expert conversations on Cobb & Co.’s legacy
  • Enjoy bush poetry and theatrical performances
  • Take a Guided Museum Tour to brush up on your history
  • Sit on a Cobb & Co. Coach for a timeless photo opportunity!

Plus, relive the final journey of Cobb & Co. and be one of the first to visit the refurbished National Carriage Gallery featuring Coach No. 112 – one of the last Cobb & Co. coaches!

Full event details and bookings announced soon.
