Eduroam
Queensland Museum campuses provides access to eduroam. Explore who is eligible and how to connect to eduroam.
'Eduroam' is a global wireless network access service providing users internet access at certain educational institutions such as universities across Queensland, interstate, and across the world.
This wireless network is available for staff and students that have eduroam access at their home institution.
Eduroam is available to all Queensland Museum locations such as Queensland Museum, Collections and Research Centre, Hendra, Queensland Museum Rail Workshops, Queensland Museum Cobb+Co, and Queensland Museum Tropics.
For a full list, please visit eduroam's website.
When connecting to eduroam, you are required to comply with our Acceptable Use of Information and Communication Technology Resources
When you’re in a Queensland Museum location and connecting to eduroam, due to relative complexity of wireless and eduroam infrastructure, you may have issues in getting a network connection due to several reasons. For example, recent change of password, changed device configuration, overlapping eduroam wireless network.
If you are a Queensland Museum staff member, please log this to IT accordingly.
If you are a visiting person connecting to eduroam, please log this issue to your home institution's IT Helpdesk.
If this is not possible, or if your home institution cannot resolve the issue, visiting users may contact the respective museum location contact number for support.
