To celebrate NAIDOC Week Queensland Museum Rail Workshops will host a traditional cultural performance by Nunukul Yuggera. The First Nations performers will begin with a Welcoming Song and Dance of the Traditional Custodians of the Ipswich and broader South-east Queensland regions. The following performance will depict Dreamtime stories, hunting and gathering and feature the oldest wood pipe instrument in the world, the didgeridoo.
This narrated performance will be followed by a Smoking Ceremony, which is one of the most significant ancient Aboriginal ceremonies.
