Learn about animal survival in Arid Queensland, where ecosystems are subjected to extremes in temperature and the availability of water. Recognise the effects of Boom and Bust patterns on the ecology and consider other challenges such as the impact of feral species or human activity. Students deepen their Science Understanding of animal adaptations, food webs, life cycles and distribution of populations. Activities include a hypothetical field survey supporting Science as a Human Endeavour and Science Inquiry Skills strands.
