Our free Highlights Tour is designed to demonstrate the breadth of Queensland Museum Kurilpa’s collection, permanent exhibitions and public galleries.
You’ll get up close and personal with some of the most incredible specimens from the natural world, explore stories from First Nations peoples who have called this land home for thousands of years, and uncover fascinating stories behind some of our most treasured objects.
The tours are free and bookings are required. The tour runs daily, with weekday tours running from 11am - 12pm (bookings accepted up until 11 am), and weekends running from 3pm - 4pm (bookings accepted up until 3 pm). Please register via the green Book Now button above.

Please meet our Museum Guide at the Whale Mall on Level Two 10 minutes prior to your session.
What is the tour duration?
The tour runs for approximately 45 minutes. This time varies depending on the group size, accessibility requirements, and questioning. All efforts are made for the tour to be finished within 60 minutes maximum.

Audio Accessibility
The tour is currently only delivered in English, through a headset that sits over one ear. This headset has audio level controls. Assistive listening devices, including headphones or neck loops, are available for tours. Please enquire with the tour guide on arrival. There are no intentional sensory noises included in the tour.
Physical Accessibility
The tour covers multiple floors of the museum, which are accessible via stairs, escalators and lifts. For a smoother experience, please contact us prior to your tour if anyone in your party requires lift only access. Please contact us on (07) 3153 3000 if you require further information.
Cancellation
Due to factors outside of our control, the tour may be cancelled with limited notice. All efforts will be made to notify ticket holders in this instance.
